I'm still in the clouds with my trip to Porto Alegre and the meeting with Carol W! It was really an unforgettable ride! And the paper maché course was fantastic! There in Porto Alegre, I started modeling a little doll with newspaper, foil and masking tape following Carol´s tips. Back to Curitiba, rolled up my sleeves and began the work of covering the structure with the maché pulp. Two days to let it dry thoroughly and then, the paint! That's the part I like best! And Carola was born, in honor of the two Carols I had the pleasure to meet there.

CAROLA

Eis o resultado final:
I had the happiness to create for my friend Flavia, the bride and groom for her wedding cake top. Wow, how much responsibility! After all, they had to be as beautiful and friendly as the original couple! Never had made a little couple before, but I loved the experience! Here is the final result:

Confiram o trabalho dela no Flickr. Lindo demais!
This week I had the great pleasure of traveling to Porto Alegre to meet one of my favorite paper maché artist, Carol W! She gave a course at Espaço Pick Up.
Carol is a doll! Super friendly and helpful, she gave wonderful tips on the course. Loved every second spent with her and the other girls who participated with me in this wonderful exchange of art and friendship.
I also had the joy of seeing live a few pieces of Carol who were exposed there. I caught in my hands, looked very closely, so cool!! Her creativity is boundless. She reuses ordinary objects of everyday life in her pieces and the result is amazing. Well, if I was a fan of Carol W before, imagine now!
Oh, and I also met another Carol there! Her name is Carol Heinen. Talking to her I discovered she makes bags. They are wonderful, each one more colorful and beautiful than the other. Check out her work on Flickr. Too beautiful!
