VERÔNICA

Gostaria de lhes apresentar minha grande amiga Verônica Fukuda. Ela é a pessoa que me ensinou a arte do papel maché. Verônica além de professora de artes, também é artista e cria lindos bichinhos com essa técnica. Ela tem um blog muito bacana, o Papier Maché, onde mostra o trabalho de outros artistas e também o dela.
Minha grande incentivadora, ela sempre me faz encomendas! Dessa vez, duas de minhas bonecas foram adquiridas por ela e ainda tenho outras três pra fazer a pedido seu. Bem, mãos à obra e muito obrigada, querida Vê!

I´d like to introduce you my good friend Verônica Fukuda. She´s the person who taught me the art of paper mache. Veronica besides an art teacher, is also an artist and creates beautiful pets with this technique. She has a very cool blog, Papier Maché, where she shows the work of other artists as well as hers.
My great motivator, she always asks for commissions! This time, two of my dolls were acquired by her and I still have three more to make by her request. Well, let´s work and thank you, dear Ve!

Noivinha Romântica - Paper Maché Bride Doll

Levei quase um mês pra terminar essa bonequinha! Só podia trabalhar nela durante os finais de semana. Ah, quem me dera ter tempo pra fazer apenas arte! Fiz muitos detalhes nela, como a grinalda de flores, o buquê, sapatinhos. Tudo isso deu um trabalhinho, mas valeu a pena! Achei que o resultado final ficou ótimo! Usei jornal pra fazer o corpo, clay para modelar o rostinho, massa de papel maché para cabelos e sapatos e papel crepom para o vestidinho.

It took me almost a month to finish this little doll! I could only work on it during the weekends. Ah, I wish I had time to do only art! I made a lot of details in it, like the wreath of flowers, bouquet, shoes. All this took a little work, but worth it! I think the end result is great! I used newspaper to make the body, air drying clay for the little face, paper maché for shoes and hair and crepe paper for the dress.

Saci Pererê

O Saci é um personagem brasileiro mitológico que habita o imaginário popular brasileiro, principalmente no interior do país onde ainda se mantém o hábito dos mais velhos contarem histórias aos mais jovens nas tranqüilas e claras noites de luar.
Representado pela figura de um menino negro de uma só perna que possui um gorro vermelho na cabeça e traz sempre um cachimbo na boca. Segundo a crença popular, os Sacis vivem setenta e sete anos e se originam do bambu. Após sete anos de “gestação” dentro do gomo do bambu ele sai para uma longa vida de travessuras e quando morre se metamorfoseia em cogumelos venenosos ou em “orelhas de pau”.
Diz a lenda que ele é muito peralta. Adora assustar os animais, prendê-los, criar situações embaraçosas para as pessoas, esconder objetos, derrubar e quebrar as coisas, entre outras danações.


The Brazilian Saci is a mythological character who inhabits the popular image of Brazil, especially in the interior of the country where the habit is still the old ones tell stories to young people in the calm, clear moonlight nights.
